This sheet music and tab are offered free of charge in the hope that you will find it inspiring to learn more and share the sound of music with others. Print them out - they look much better on paper than on screen. I will be updating, adding or removing music from time to time so if you see something you like, print it out now.
Enjoy!

Late Winter, Early Spring
Alrighty then! Many of you (definitely in the 100's - plural!) have been asking for quite some time for the Music/TAB to the lead guitar part on John Denver's Late Winter, Early Spring. Well, here you go. Thanks for your patience and for you diligence. Now it's time for you to show me some love and get to work learning this bad boy. Enjoy.
Late Winter, Early Spring Score
Want to see how the two guitars line up? This may help some of you to see it this way.
Deep River Blues & Sweet Georgia Brown
From the Music Emporium Clinic
Darcy Farrow
From John's original recording of the song on the Rocky Mountain High album. This is NOT from the DVD I taught on John's guitar style. That version was from the Wildlife Concert. John's playing changed over the years and I think it's important to learn his original version.
Go Tell It On The Mountain - from First Light - A Pete Huttlinger Christmas
When The Saints Go Marching In
Daley's
Reel
I learned this from a Bryan Sutton's CD. This tune has a
wonderful melody which lays well on the guitar. This will
be a good work out for all you flat-pickers.
Opus
57
This is a killer bluegrass tune that lays really well in
DADGAD tuning. It will give you a good work out with open
and fretted strings as well as cross string picking.

Hot
Licks
Here are a couple of great licks. The first one is great
on an A7 chord. The second is good on an A minor chord.
More
Hot Licks
Here is a great double-stop lick. This
is how to play it:
Your thumb plays the 1st note, 3rd & 4th fingers play the
double-stop (two notes together). Then 1st finger on the first
muted note, thumb on the 2nd muted note, 3rd & 4th on the
next double-stop. Then 1st finger on the next muted note and
you thumb plays the next note. (notice this note is not muted).
The 2nd measure starts with a double-stop with 3rd & 4th
fingers and a hammer-on from the G natural to the G sharp. Then
play thumb, 3rd & 4th on the double-stop. Then alternate
Thumb 1st, thumb, 1st.
Blues
with Bass
This one is for folks who want to learn how to play a bass
line with chords at the same time. It's a simple blues in Bb.If
you haven't ever tried playing a bass line, here's a good place
to start.
Scale
Fingerings
Take your time. Learn all of these completely. Learn them
so well that you can do them in your sleep. Now transpose them
to every key!
